Angels & Demons, the Half-Blood Prince and G.I. Joe

A night before Hari Raya AidilAdha. (btw, Selamat Hari Raya AidilAdha from Iszaham). My friend from Singapore (actually He is Malaysian BUT work there, so he Malaysia Citizen) bought me a 2-disc extended edition Angels & Demons, a film adaptation of Dan Brown's novel by the same name. It is the sequel to The Da Vinci Code, even though the novel Angels & Demons was published first and takes place before the novel The Da Vinci Code. The DVD cost around 32.90 dollars.

The next days. Probably around 0600 pm I went to Jusco at Perda. I bought another two DVD. First, a 2-Disc Special Edition Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, a fantasy-adventure film based on the novel of the same name by J. K. Rowling. It is the sixth film in the Harry Potter film series.

Second, a 1-Disc G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra, a live-action film adaptation of the G.I. Joe toy franchise, with particular inspiration on the comic book G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero. The film is directed by Stephen Sommers.

    Iszaham thought:
  • Angels & Demons:
I love thriller movie but the only thing that helped this movie was the casting: Tom Hanks, Ewan McGregor, Ayelet Zurer, and Stellan SkarsgÄrd. With talent like this, it's hard for the performances to be too awful. But when you have a story that doesn't make sense but tries to engage the viewer with plot twists that anyone can see a mile away, there is only so much a good actor can do.

  • Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince:
For now, though, Prince treats viewers to superb effects work, longer running time, haunting art direction, great dollops of humor and emotion, and great casting. British actor who in J.K Rowling's Harry Potter franchise was brilliant in interpreted their visionary character.

  • G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra:
G.I. Joe was not reported to be a very good movie at all. I must admit I wasn't excited when bought the DVD. Honestly I thought, the acting in this movie is terrible, the dialoge is laughable, and I've seen better special effects before in TV made-movies. I could have cared less about what happened to any of the characters as the movie just jumps straight into action and doesn't explain a thing. For what is worth, it still worth watching.

      Your first SPA interview, Iszaham

Monday - August 10th 2009 was the day of interview for a job Juruteknik Computer in sector government at Wisma Persekutuan, Pst P'tadbiran K'jaan P'sekutuan Bdr Muazam, Anak Bkt, kedah. I when there with my mum and father from 5.00 am and arrived in about 7.30 am or something. We did mistake with other Wisma Persekutuan, I haven't thought they've two places with the same name only one centre in the city and the other one way ahead after reaches Menteri Besar's house.

The first thing when I arrived, they told us to make a straight line for checklist name, given us the number and room that we supposed to go for interview later. For some reason I'm third person to interview in room 1. Well, that fast. After two people and then me, I'm nervous already... of course who doesn't. I did make some friends; one was the Chinese, several Malay boys and girls. They asked me "How many interview did you've been?" I just gazed and smiled smoothly; quickly answer their question "Haven’t one".

What the heck? Well, I'm eighteen and this was my first interview. I did surprise when SPA mail was sent at me, saying I'm got a job interview in sector government. One of Malay boy father saying to my mum that I'm was lucky. I did asked when their born? They answer 1981, 1985, 1986, 1988 and etc, they just smiled when I told I'm born 1991. Even I'm smiled too. They probably bring Certificated or Diploma or might Degree. I'm just thinking in mind what Certificated did I bring. Oh, what SPM Certificated.

When turn of my interview. I go in the room after they ring the bells. I'm been interview by two woman. They look pretty nice and warm welcome. I'm gave my resume and stuff; told them my personal particulars, academic qualification, societies, co-curricular activies and current job. They interview when well... I think. The result for interview comes out September 21st, 2009. We just wait and seen then.

Why Didn't I Just Walk Away? Oh Right. Because I love Emma Watson

It's been ages since I read the latest issue of Galaxie magazine. Way back then, the book was larger and now it getting a bit smaller than I remember. It's sad that they reduced the size of the magazine and the price of book also change. It's getting bit experience. The reason I spend money to buy the August issue of Galaxie is because the beautiful, elegant, gorgeous, cute and talented Emma Watson is the August issue cover.

I'm eager to read the interview and saw the picture. Who can never forget when the first installment of Harry Potter saga movie came out? She was just a little darling. So cute, small and adorable. Now, she certainly had grown up into a beautiful lady. Now, Emma Watson is one of the most recognisable faces in probably the whole world. It worth spend money for. I wish that I could take picture with Emma Watson or just get an autographed photo of Emma Watson.

There Are No Words for This

Recently, meaning two days ago my hands were full with dirt and ink color. It's was from the printer that I were print a few paper. I'm talking about my work of course at Parit Buntar INN. Then, without any wind or whatever the ink was suddenly full in my hands. I'm found myself dirt with ink all over my both hand. Of course, in mind the toilet was the best place to get clean.

Without any doubt, I'm rushing to toilet and tried to clean my hands. A few moments later, the unbelievable and unexpected things was, well actually I was watching myself in mirror and saw a blink in mirror. Quickly I watch my back and found RM100 lying beside toilet sit. I'm think to myself "What a big tips" beside the paid of month already come. Man, I love my job. I did share a bit with my co-worker, Kak Aina.

Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince Review

      Seen on: July 16th, 2009

The players: Director: David Yates Cast: Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson, Rupert Grint, Jim Broadbent, Helena Bonham Carter, Michael Gambon, Alan Rickman, David Thewlis, Robbie Coltrane, Warwick Davis, Maggie Smith, Timothy Spall, David Thewlis, Julie Walters, David Bradley, Jessie Cave, Frank Dillane, Tom Felton, Matthew Lewis, Evanna Lynch, Helen McCrory, Natalia Tena, Bonnie Wright, Frank Dillane (Teenage Tom Riddle) and Hero Fiennes Tiffin (Young Tom Riddle)

Facts of interest: The sixth installment of the hugely successful boy wizard Harry Potter series adaptation from J.k Rowling book Harry Potter and The Half-Blood Prince and other reason, Emma Watson.

The plot: In the sixth year at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft, and in both wizard and muggle worlds Lord Volemort and his henchmen are increasingly active. With vacancies to fill at Hogwarts, Professor Dumbledor persuades Horace Slughorn, back from retirement to become the potions teacher, while Professor Snape receives long awaited news. Harry Potter, together with Dumbledore, must face treacherous tasks to defeat his evil nemesis.

Iszaham's thoughts: I have to say the sixth installment in the boy wizard saga arrives in theaters a delay than hoped for; it was originally due last fall (due to battle the first installment of Twilight Sage entitled "Twilight" in November 2008) but it worth waiting for because the Half-Blood Prince's arrives just in time to save a summer overstuffed with creatively disappointing sequels and non-sequels movies.

Prologue scene start with the dark cloud changes structure into He Who Must Not Be Named suddenly Death Eater flying around London, destroy the beautiful Bridget and rush to Deagon Ally. The scene was a great touch and a painting alike. It show us the Half-Blood Prince takes the "Potter" series to places deeper and darker than ever before (it's like déjà, remember The Dark Knight the blockbuster success of the 2005 sequel Batman Begins, it was darker except without Harry Potter, Hogwarts, Quidditch, Dark Eater, and Lord Voldemort in the film. Actually, that was worst comparisons.)

I did notice when Harry Potter (Daniel Radcliffe) flirting with a Muggle in London sets before interrupt by Albus Dumbledore (Michael Gambon) who introduces Harry to retired professor Horace Slughorn (Jim Broadbent) as part of a plan to uncover secrets from Voldemort's past. Dumbledore tells Harry he must befriend the new potions teacher at Hogwarts, Professor Slughorn (What? Wait? Slughorn teach potions, what will dear old Professor Snape (Alan Rickman) do? At long last, he has claimed the cursed "defense against the dark arts" class).

This newest installment is tempered, more assured and relaxed. It's the closest the films have come to feeling like we're just hangin' out with our favorite trio Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson (first scene when I saw Emma Watson in the Half-Blood Prince, I'm was speechless, she was so beautiful, elegant, gorgeous definitely cute) and non-the-less Rupert Grint (who brought Ron Weasley brilliantly, I love her famous quotes "Bloody Hell"). It's was hilarious to watch Harry and his friends Ron (Rupert Grint) and Hermione (Emma Watson) are growing up and dealing with hormones racing faster than broomsticks at a Quidditch match. And that's a good thing.

For now, though, Prince treats viewers to superb effects work, longer running time, haunting art direction, great dollops of humor and emotion, and great casting. British actor who in J.K Rowling's Harry Potter franchise was brilliant in interpreted their visionary character.

Already past the point when most film franchises would be wheezing their way toward irrelevancy. The final novel, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, will be adapted into two films in 2010 and 2011 released.

      Syurga Cinta vs The Spirit

Just brought two DVD last week. First DVD was Syurga Cinta a 2009 metrowealth drama-comedy directed by Ahmad Idham. The second DVD was The Spirit, a 2008 American comic book adaptation, written and directed by Frank Miller. The film is based on the newspaper comic strip The Spirit by Will Eisner. OddLot and Lionsgate produced the film.

(Click on the enlarge to view it.)

      • Syurga Cinta:
It's was fun drama romantic movie to watch with family and definitely a great "dakwah" movie, eventhough the movie show a similar "Kiamat Sudah Dekat" story-line still the movie got their own amazing plot and talented actor/actress to keep the movie fun and relevan.

      • The Spirit:
Frank Miller's jazzy The Spirit answers that question with a cocky wink and a grin. The streets of Central City are almost always dark and threatening, but they're watched over by a guardian who used to be a cop named Denny Colt. One of the 2009 year's most refreshingly fun films to watch but the films featured too much talking and not enough action.

Some People Just Don’t Grasp the Concept of "Can't bowl"

I've got my first paid after two weeks I'm worked at Parit Buntar INN. To exact on July 2nd 2009, I got about RM233.00. Furthermore, it was a sad day (Not because the paid of money, memorial of Farrah Fawcett or Michael Jackson) because it was the last day of Kak Hanis worked here (back study for her Degree in Bio-Medical). We saw and spoke for the last time, even make joke. She was still lovely, nicer and down-to-earth. Still my friendship with her will always remember in ours hearts and minds.

After that my brother and friend decided to go enjoy at Pacific. Azmi was the one asked "How about we play bowling?" (Throw some bowl, sound like fun). My brother loves the idea (he had play before in his life). The truth was, I haven't play once in my life, and of course I'm felt like idiot, watching myself fooling around. At end of games, Azmi was indeed the pro-one in us. The scoreboard was, Azmi score 132 with 3 strike and 2 spare while my brother, Syazary at first was amazing (great than me) but he only got 61 score. I felt much better when I knew I'm beat my brother with 84 score, 2 strike and 1 spare. Now I'm felt... I love bowl. Can't wait to play once again soon with more friends.

      King of Pop's Michael Jackson

I was entirely shocked when hear the news about the King of Pop's Michael Jackson sudden death, he is aged 50 when passed away. Sad thing was I haven't meet him in person yet, and probably NOT ever by now. I lie if I say that I don't feel anything on the Michael Jackson sudden death. I think he has influenced many of is with his dance and songs. I will always remember the brilliant and amazing album Thriller. Although he was slammed with one lawsuit after another, he decided to get further surgeries on his face, the media said or labeled him as, for me he will always and always be the King of Pop. No doubt about that. He'll never be forgotten. We will always miss and love you. Rest in Peace, Michael Joseph Jackson. The legacy of music that you have left us has made you immortal, and you'll remain in our minds and hearts for decades to come.

      Favourite Angel

The mourn of Michael Jackson continues with the passed away of icon's Farrah Fawcett. The world has lost an angel. Fawcett lost her fight against anal cancer and liver cancer, died aged 62 in Los Angeles. Fawcett become household name when she star one full season as private detective Jill Munroe in Charlie's Angels in 1976 (I still watch on DVD and re-run). I love her "bombshell" image. Her smile was so sweet and mesmerizing. I know fans still remember the one poster that makes her a sex symbol. Smiling Fawcett's tanned in a red one piece bathing suit. Farrah Fawcett, You'll always be in our hearts. We will sorely miss you. May she rest in peace.

Grandfather of all Devils, one old Basterd

I was shocked when read about one "datuk segala setan" aka (grandfather of all devils)" by Harian Metro released last Friday, 05 June 2009. I think all Malaysian's people were shocked about this disgusting meaner that an 66 year-old grandfather from TELUK INTAN rape his 5 year-old granddaughter. Besides, he INVITED his three friends, one of them is his foster kid to rape or "Meratah" his 5 year-old granddaughter for almost three weeks. To do that at your own flashing blood that was disgusting, unrespectable, unbelievable human thing you're. Why can he just hire a prosutite (non hearth taking) or something? Didn't you have think for one minute, how this can affect her future.
Shame on you? You son of bitch (sorry for mean word, if family's related are read this). The bloody hell (sorry once again for mean word) were you thinking is. I thought we're living in indecent world, what happen to the world now. Thank goodness, the neighbor found-out sooner, if NOT I doesn't know what will happen to her. I hope Grandpa and his accomplished were leave in the jail to dead (Oh? this Malaysia, still have meaner). They're all shouldn't gave a paroled. I wish this disgusting and unrespectable meaner weren't happen again (well, everyone can WISH).

      Jangan Pandang Belakang Congkak

      Seen on: June 4, 2009

The players: Director: Ahmad Idham Cast: Mazlan Ahmad, Shaheizy Sam, Cat Farish, Lisa Surihani, Zarina, Dina and Mas Muharni

Facts of interest: Lisa Surihani plays the lead and first antagonist character.

The plot: Three youths who each received a letter from the late Pak Sudir inviting them to his house and they would have to stay at his house for three days straight without touching anything, especially an old congkak.

Iszaham's thoughts: Today is "Jangan Pandang Belakang Congkak" opening day 4th June, 2009. I get the change to watch the new horror comedy produced by Metrowealth this morning 11.30 a.m with company of my friends. "JPBC" is directed by non-other Ahmad Idham (one of my favourite Malaysia's director). "JPBC" is not a sequel installment of "Jangan Pandang Belakang" (2007) and "Congkak" (2008), which previously directed by Ahmad Idham.

"Jangan Pandang Belakang Congkak" tells the story of three youths who each received a letter from the late Pak Sudir inviting them to his house. Upon arrival, they met up with Pak Sudir's helper Mustika and discovered that he was their grandfather and the three of them have the potential to inherit all of his belongings, but under strict circumstances. They would have to stay at his house for three days straight without touching anything, especially an old congkak. On the first night itself, strange things begin to happen.

I think "JPBC" storyline is amazingly will written, it contain the element of humour most of time. "JPBC" sure will capture a number of people's attention with its elements of humour. Before the character of Mazlan Pet Pet (Punai), Shaiheizy Sam (Johan) and Cat Farish (Asmat) changed to "Orang Minyak", "Hantu Raya" and "Toyol", the humour started show-up because each character sing and dance with different and hilarious movement.

I agree with Ahmad Idham who cast Lisa Surihani, to plays a beautiful and facial expressions speech of Mustika. Her bring up Mustika's character to life. Since the beginnig of the story, we can saw how scary and serious expressions speech Lisa Surihani bring to her character. I think she was amazingly brilliant. Besides Lisa Surihani look beautiful in every scene except at the end of the story (because she turn into ghost).

I'm also noticed a newcomer Mas Muharni, who plays Wawa (Cat Farish love interest). She character kind is sweet-honest gadis melayu and I'm totally enjoy watched her, but she still need of much improvement in her acting skill (hoping she act in other movie soon).

Surely I would buy the original dvd "JPBC" when come out in market. For those who haven't watch yet, go your near by cinema and watched this humour and laughter movie of "JPBC".

You ain't want to go to toilet when night, so DARK even hard to see with your eyes. Located several feet behind house (lots of tree & a few owl), but if you sakit perut... Like I'm last saturday night. You got to do what you got to right. :D
